We’re looking for a production lead who will be in charge of summer mushroom production at the CTHM farm.
The work: Work is primarily mushroom picking, moving logs, and force-fruiting on schedule.
Hours: We’re looking for someone to help with farm work 40 to 50 hours per week starting at 8am, generally quitting around 5pm. Workers are generally expected to work at least one day each weekend – especially in the summer.
Duration: This position starts in mid August, and extends into October. Winter production work picks up after that, and we encourage production workers to apply for the winter production worker position.
Compensation: hourly work at $13 to $15 per hour. Housing is available free of charge in our farmhouse or in our bunkhouse; there is a shared bathroom and kitchen in the farmhouse. All farmhands have use of kitchen equipment and a few food staples like oil and salt, and of course mushrooms!
The Team: Summer teams can be up to a few full and part-time employees.
Work Location: We have a beautiful 38 acre farm at 827 15th St., Clayton, WI 54004, about an hour and a half from the Twin Cities.
Selection Criteria: Previous general farm or production experience desirable, as well as speed, attention to detail, endurance, ability to work well with others and to lift 75 lbs. Production lead isn’t expected to have previous experience in mushroom cultivation, but preference is given to spring/summer production team member.
Hiring deadline: We hope to make the hire by early July, 2020.
Application Details: Please email Jeremy at firstname.lastname@example.org with a description of why you’re interested in the position. He’d also like to see a resume and at least one professional and one personal reference.
Thanks for your interest in our production lead position!
